In my last blog,”You’ve Come a Long Way, Baby,” I said I would report in, after my 4-day virtual Women in Publishing Summit.
I preface that I had a bit of trouble with my focus, so worried about Ukraine. I did my best.
This year was so different than last year’s summit, when I was a newbie and needed to learn EVERYTHING about how publishing had changed since I last shopped a book. After a year of continuing education and a signed contract for Rain Dodging, my necessary interest is learning about marketing, an area of hesitation. An introvert, I have become even more solitary as with so many people over the last two years. I am still not used to people. I used to be entertaining. We’ll see!
The best way to give you an idea of what I was learning at the summit last week is to list the titles of attended presentations. After that I will list recorded presentations to watch over the next few weeks. I think I will plan on watching one every morning. I am an early riser.
