Heed The Call

Heed The Call

In the publishing process, Rain Dodging is in the phase penned ‘2nd pages,’ where I spot-check for errors I noted in ‘1st pages,’ (duh) to make sure the corrections I asked for in first pages have been implemented. I did a deep dive: I am about a month behind.

The book is exquisite. If I had known how well images reproduced, I would have included more: I had so . . .so many in the original manuscript.

So . . . today I check the changes. I will probably read into the manuscript, too. I have 13 advanced readers. Unlucky number. I need to find one or two more.

A reminder: The seed for this book germinated 17 years ago! No wonder I am anxious about being asked a question for which I have no answer!

Back cover design is next, according to my outline.

I’m a Cavitch, of course I have an outline

It won’t take long.

Famous last words

The book is exquisite. I am proud to claim it.

From Rain Dodging:

I opened the street-facing front windows wide, which would become my routine every evening upon entering. I breathed in intermittent rain. Cool, windy breezes were heaven sent, clearing my brain of stale concourses and air-plane claustrophobia.

Breathe.

I enjoyed a luxurious shower, washed my panties and hung them to dry, then sat stark naked atop a luxurious garnet satin duvet on the double bed. I rested against cushy pillows, not Diego Velázquez’s Venus at Her Mirror1 but Susan at Her Laptop.
