I happened the come across the Live with Kelly and Mark show a few days ago, scrolling for a channel to watch. Brenden Fraser was on to promote his new movie, Pressure. He portrays Dwight D. Eisenhower when he was Supreme Commander of the Allied Expeditionary Forces. He was the one who had to had to decide whether to go ahead with D-Day. His successful leadership was pivotal to the Allied victory in WWII. That was the focus of the movie. Thus the name, Pressure.
Following Germany’ surrender, Eisenhower was appointed military governor of the American-occupied zone of Germany, headquartered in Frankfurt.
Next, at 58-years old, Eisenhower, became president of Columbia University, serving for 5 years. That was where he began oil painting. He took up painting as a relaxing hobby, encouraged by his friend Winston Churchill. Ike completed roughly 200 to 300 oil paintings over the last 20 years of his life, favoring landscapes, historical figures, and copies of photographs.

That was a surprise to me, a nice one:)
About art he said: “Art is a universal language and through it each nation makes its own unique contribution to the culture of mankind.“
Since I still can’t access Images, I have posted some of
Eisenhower’s paintings on FaceBook. Maybe you can find?
Or use Google Images. You need to see a few of them.
